It’s been a while since I’ve sent out a newsletter, and I miss you!

It’s been a busy time here, filled with growth, a myriad of emotions, and lots of wonder.

I love being able to hold space for wonder.

I welcomed a new grandson, Marcelo Alfred, on April 29:

My firstborn turned 40, which feels like a weird milestone as a Mom, and I’m working through a series of movement modules that bridge the gap between physical therapy and yoga.

I continue my study of qigong, internal martial arts, and advanced Buddhism.

Recently, I received permission to work with the Ngondro practices of the Kagyu Lineage, and completed a 10-week course called Feeding Your Demons.

That’s what I want to talk about today – feeding your demons!

It’s an innovative meditation technique created by Lama Tsultrim Allione.

Feeding our demons, rather than fighting them, counters the conventional mindset of resisting whatever bothers us, and instead turns it into an effective path of inner integration.

Demons are not scary ghouls waiting in the dark corners of our minds – they’re negative energies we experience on a daily basis, like fear, anxiety, worry, and anger.

Demons can be anything that drains or blocks you from your inner equanimity, radiance, and wakefulness.

To complete my course, I’m looking for four volunteers to guide through the practice.
