My Interview with Dr. Glenn Leslie & December Favorites!

While we’re in the final month of the year and headed into more festivities, I’m excited to share my current favorite self-care practices, and… a brand-new interview I did with Dr. Glenn Leslie! This was so much fun.

We talk about…

  • How and when I got started with yoga: it might surprise you, if you don’t know my story
  • The myriad health benefits of yoga and meditation available to people of all ages
  • Why yoga is so good for mental health and longevity: it goes way beyond the body

… and so much more! Check out this 15-minute video interview below.

Dr. Glenn’s practice is in Ramsey, NJ, and he takes a holistic approach to medicine. If you’re looking for a new doctor, I can strongly recommend him!

And these are three self-care practices I’m loving lately…

1. Peppermint steam shower.

Put a few drops of peppermint essential oil on the floor of your shower right before you turn on the hot water for an at-home spa steam experience. Mint gives you an instant energy lift and opens up your sinuses during cold season.

2. Kumaon White Tea.

I’m loving this light, fruity tea from Mountain Rose Herbs, and it has lots of great antioxidants. Small luxuries go so far, and I love simply sitting in silence with this tea as a mini meditation.

3. Intentional aimless wandering.

Even in the cold and snow, I’ve made it a point to go for a walk everyday, with no destination in mind.

We’re always trying to rein in our mind and direct it somewhere. This practice is about intentionally letting your mind wander, and trusting your basic awareness without forcing yourself to constantly be doing something.

Aimless wandering is all about creating spaciousness, not mindfulness. It’s an allowing practice for the wandering mind.

What are you loving this month, and will you try any of these three practices?

Have a beautiful day!

Warmly,
Michele
