“Self-care is never a selfish act – it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer others. Anytime we can listen to true self and give the care it requires, we do it not only for ourselves, but for the many others whose lives we touch.” – Parker Palmer
It might sound selfish and counterintuitive to make sure you’re taking care of yourself first, but it’s actually one of the most giving things you can do.
When you’re fueled and nourished – physically, mentally, and emotionally – you can show up fully for other people, and you end up naturally giving from a place of overflow and joy rather than exhaustion (and possibly resentment).
As we get toward the end of the year and have so much going on, it’s easy to put yourself last.
By simply bringing awareness to the fact that this might happen, we can shift our patterns.
A great tool you can use is remembering and/or establishing your daily non-negotiables: The things you know you need to do every day to feel good.
My three non-negotiables for self-care are yoga, meditation, and good food. These are the things I know I need every day to show up energetically and enthusiastically for myself and others.
What are your three non-negotiables when it comes to self-care? Leave a comment here and share with me – I’d love to hear from you. Your non-negotiables set the foundation for your 2018 aspirations.
Last, and most importantly, I want to thank you so much for your support this past year. I feel inspired by each of you; your dedication, trust, and willingness to explore fills me with tremendous joy.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!
Warmly,
Michele
P.S. I’m excited to be expanding my work in 2018! I’m adding more hours for private meditation and yoga. I have a limited number of openings, so if you’re curious, be in touch this week.

Hi Michelle,
First things first, I freakin miss you and your amazing classes! I tell everyone how you completely changed my practice. Since working and balancing home life with the kids, I have tried my best to practice on my own and then take classes and workshops when my schedule allows.
It’s been a challenge and my body, breath and mind has felt it. So your email was a perfect reminder for me to seek out help. I would love to schedule a private with you in January. I have a lot of flexibility during the week and after 2:30 and some weekends. So please let me know details and when we can arrange.
Thank you for having such a positive constant impact in my life.
Xoxo
