Seasonal Shifts & Exciting Upcoming Events

Happy Fall!

We’ve entered into the start of another school year, where the quality of the light begins to change and everything seems to be bathed in a golden hue.

There’s a crisp freshness to the air, and the scent of the falling leaves can be experienced.

It’s also a time of nature’s great abundance.

I have been lucky enough to be the receiver of so many tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini from neighboring gardens, and even a wee pumpkin – a sure sign that fall is here.

Early fall is an intimate dance between slowing down and keeping active.

It’s a time to check in and notice your balance between rest and activity.

It’s also the time of year when one could feel dried up – burnt out from the excessive heat of the summer.

When that happens, all the juicy, vital fluids of our bodies have been depleted.

If you feel that way, give yourself a “time out”: Purge yourself of electronics, immerse yourself in quiet, and rest.

Fall is also considered to be the time of moving into the earth element.

When the earth element within us is balanced, we feel stable and grounded in what is; at home regardless of external conditions.

We feel nourished and resourced, able to meet our mental and emotional states with ease. Our minds are relaxed; free from overthinking and overanalyzing.

As I honor the closing of summer, I’m excited to let you know about some of my fall offerings…

On October 23rd, I’ll be teaching my first IN-PERSON experience since 2020, at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan:

Earth Below and Sky Above Meditation & Qigong Retreat Day

Then in early November, I’ll be teaching a class series, also at the JCC:

Nourishing the Spirit Through Meditation & Breath

This class series will be held virtually, and sessions will be recorded.

Drop into my ongoing yin classes on Wednesday afternoons for a practice that is energizing for your body, and soothing for your soul.

Interested in trying qigong?

For your first class, come as my guest.

Email me at michele@michelesapanaro.com and I will send you the link.

Of course, we have our weekly meditations: At the JCC on Mondays, and Commit To Sit on Wednesdays, online.

As always, I have lots of gratitude for you.

My wish is that you are able to stay present with whatever is arising for you now, and that we will be able to share some time together in the near future.

With love and care,
Michele
